i really like flickr, i think it is really cool. The library will be sure to use it.

Youtube

I love youtube i think its great because for me visual refrence is so much more effective. i chose this video of the New York Knicks City Kids Dancers, because last night i went to a game and was blow away by the talent of these kids! I mean they were ten times better than the adult dancers. So basically i just thought they were cool. But i do think youtube is a great tool and can deffiantely be used in the library.

Library Thing

I really like the idea of the Library Thing. It's in a way similar to shelfari i believe but i do think it's a useful tool to connect with people who share similar intertests in non other than books! And pertaining to the tag cloud on James Patterson's 7th heaven; I think its helpful but a little redundant.

okay well ill be honest i really do not like delicous. Mybe it's just me, but it serves really no purpose. I think our tag cloud is cool, but it might as well be a list of keywords, i dont see the point of the whole "cloud" thing. Maybe someone can explain it to me better. =/

facebook/myspace

So I am offically fan number 102 on our library's facebook. Good to see we're all taking an interest in our library for a change. After checking out the library's myspace I liked the flickr slide show as well as the book shelf on the left; great idea not only for a library but for an avid reader as well.
Well now lets see.. I've been using myspace since about 2005 but am a newbie to facebook. Myspace was always, or at least to me, the easier, simplier, social network. However after using facebook and becoming use to the navigation, I'd perfer to use it over myspace. I think that social networking has become so popualr maily due to media; if we can poke around in a celebrity's life why not poke around in the common man's. I like it though, no denying it there; curiosity does get the better of me.

Creating a blog

Well being I've never created a blog before, this should be interesting. Im looking forward to trying something new.
